How You’ll Make An Impact

The Packer position supports efficient warehouse operations by performing picking, packing, replenishment, and administrative coordination tasks, while serving as the primary backup to the Inventory Control Coordinator (ICC). This role ensures orders are processed accurately, inventory is maintained, and operational goals are met. When functioning as the Backup ICC, the role provides essential support in order prioritization, SAP-related inventory tasks, and communication with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless workflow throughout the shift.

Responsibilities Include

  • Perform accurate picking and packing of automotive products—including wiper blades, filters, bulbs, and related items—using RF scanners.
  • Replenish stock in assigned warehouse locations and support cycle counting efforts as directed.
  • Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies, damaged goods (leakers), and department documentation.
  • Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards by breaking down cardboard, removing pallets, sweeping, and keeping work areas organized.
  • Support administrative tasks related to order processing, packing slips, labeling, and store-in-a-box shipments.
  • Continue to work in the Direct Ship area as a picker or packer when not performing Backup ICC duties.
  • Run and print orders (VL10G), prioritize workflow, and maintain department efficiency throughout the day.
  • Back up ICC duties can include:
    • Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to resolve ordering and shipping issues.
    • Notify supervisors of department problems, including SAP-related print errors.
    • Confirm all PGI deliveries are completed and run VL060 goods issue report at end of day to support LIFR goals.
    • Utilize SAP to manage picking requests, change shipments, perform inquiries, and troubleshoot inventory issues.
    • Assist with cycle counting and inventory accuracy initiatives as assigned.
    • Coordinate PTO scheduling with the ICC to ensure process coverage.
What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and 10–25 lbs frequently throughout the shift
  • Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
  • Previous pick/pack or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Customer-focused mindset with reliability and proactive problem-solving.
  • Prior experience with RF scanners and SAP or similar WMS platforms.
  • Strong basic math skills (counting, measuring, simple calculations).
  • Valid forklift certification or previous forklift experience.
