Your Role

CBC/Radio-Canada’s Media Solutions group is looking for an Advisor, Media Creativity Clients.

Reporting to the Manager, Media Creativity Clients Team, you will be responsible for initiating, developing, selling and implementing high-impact, cross-platform strategic Media Creativity solutions.

You will leverage your expertise to collaborate closely with in-house teams to build bridges between our clients’ brands and our audiences across television and digital platforms for both Radio-Canada and CBC.

  • Strategy and Design: Analyze client briefs to identify strategic direction, then design innovative cross-platform solutions that meet their business objectives.
  • Ideation and Development: Develop robust, innovative creative concepts. Lead effective brainstorming sessions to build better strategies.
  • Commercial Partnerships and Presentations: Write clear, compelling proposals and co-present them to agencies and direct clients alongside the sales teams to close business.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams (TV/digital), content marketing advisers, project managers, as well as with Commercial Production, Branded Content and the Media Solutions teams (Research, B2B Marketing).
  • External Partnerships: Collaborate with other media outlets in consortia when necessary to achieve client objectives.
  • Brand Integrity: Ensure all solutions align with CBC/Radio-Canada’s strong editorial values while meeting client needs.
  • Representation: Represent CBC/Radio-Canada at key industry events.

What You Bring

Skills and Experience

  • Education: University degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, communications, business administration).
  • Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years’ significant experience in content marketing or a related strategic role within the media sector.
  • Media Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of the digital ecosystem, including audio, video, branded content, social platforms and emerging formats.
    • In-depth knowledge of the Quebec and national TV and digital media landscape, including CBC/Radio-Canada programming and competitors’ offerings.
  • Tools: Working knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite).
Essential Qualities

  • Bilingualism: Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written).
  • Relationships and Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in order to establish and maintain long-term trust with clients and in-house teams.
  • Agility: Agile mindset, with the ability to navigate changing priorities and contexts effectively and positively.
  • Business Acumen: Actively contributing to overall sales targets through client retention and the strategic development of new business solutions.
