E-Waste and Metal Sorter at John Ross & Sons Ltd.

John Ross & Sons is currently seeking an E-waste and Metal sorter to join our team in Halifax! As the largest scrap metal recycling facility in Atlantic Canada, we seek energetic and safety minded individuals to join our expanding team!

This role involves sorting different types of electronics including computer components, printers, TVs and wires.

Important to note: *We currently cannot accept work permits. Applicants must have permanent residency or citizenship*

Primary Responsibilities:

• Sorting electronics into sections
• Maintain organized inventory
• Maintain clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned
• Manual labour involved
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Steel toed boots
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work outside full-time in all weather conditions
• Ability to maintain and organize inventory is a priority
• At least 1 year of full-time employment at a similar position or in an industrial atmosphere
