Step into the role of Team Leader Sportsfield!
As the Team Leader Sportsfields, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our sports fields, with special emphasis on local and professional sporting fields such as Concord Oval – home to the West Tigers, along with turf Cricket wickets.
This role combines leadership, technical knowledge, and a passion for sports fields.
Leading a small team of staff at an operational level, you will be responsible for ensuring that Council's parks, sporting fields and turf wickets are maintained to the highest standard. You will also be required to manage routine staffing matters such as ensuring the safety of your staff on all job sites and resolving routine enquiries.
Operating appropriate machinery, you will carry out development work and garden maintenance in parks and reserves as well as control roadside growth as directed.
Are You the Ideal Candidate?
To be successful in this position, you will need to have Certificate III in Sports Turf Management, previous three to five-year experience in turf preparation and maintenance, strong customer service skills, as well as a current Chemical Users certificate, a General Construction Induction card (white card) and a Class ‘C’ driver’s licence. Cricket wicket, line marking and experience looking after high-profile sports fields is desirable.
