Are you detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrive under pressure? Carlson Construction Group is looking for a Temporary Administrative Assistant to support our team during a critical bidding phase for major projects.
Location: North Vancouver
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 4–6 weeks (potential extension based on fit and project timelines)
Type: Hourly Contract
Pay: $25–$30 per hour
What You’ll Do:
Key responsibilities:
- Template Creation with Styles: Create Microsoft Word template with styles in accordance with client-format requirements.
- Document creation and editing: Copy and paste previously formatted documents into new template and format according to new template.
- Proofreading and Quality Assurance: Check documents for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to new template format.
- Formatting and design: Using Microsoft Word to apply formatting, create tables, and work with templates to ensure polished and professional document submissions.
- Document management: file, store, retrieve, and update documents on SharePoint.
- Collaboration: work with project teams to meet tight deadlines.
- Adaptability: Ability to be open to change and handle a variety of tasks.
- Be flexible to meet submission deadlines.
Candidate must have the following required skills and qualifications for this position:
- Core skills: Proficiency in using word processing software (like Microsoft Word), and fast and accurate typing are essential.
- Technical skills: Must have advanced level knowledge in creating Microsoft Word templates and styles.
- Attention to detail: Meticulous and thorough in checking for errors and inconsistencies.
- Writing and language: Excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain organized records.
- Adobe Professional: Ability to create and compile PDF documents from Microso
