We are currently seeking a Regional Lead, Supply Chain Ops for our Calgary RFC Team at our National Distribution Centre!

The Regional Lead, Supply Chain Ops is responsible for the following

  • Coordinate daily Calgary RFC warehouse operations in the Supervisor’s absence
  • Collaborate closely with other departments as required to continuously improve, adhere to safe efficient operations
  • Provide direction to other employees to ensure SOPs, work procedures are meeting expectations and documenting any amendments needed
  • Build management reports on operational activity, critical metrics, expenditures as required
  • Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used optimally, that work schedules and targets are met, and participate in our Lean and continuous improvement program
  • Receive, put away, pick, pack and ship product, book delivery appointments, assign picking orders, participate in our Lean and continuous improvement program.
  • Lift items up to 50lbs larger items will be 2 person or mechanically assisted
  • Lead team through mentorship, coaching and training in accordance with National Supply Chain Best Practices
  • Safe forklift and other warehouse equipment operation
  • Adhere to all safety procedures when on site or performing any functions in or around the facility
  • Provide weekly and monthly department reports to Regional Supervisor, Supply Chain
  • Work both individually and collaborate as part of a team
  • Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
  • This is achieved and maintained through various tools, software systems, some of those are Oracle, Logfire WMS, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other shipping/courier software.

What You'll Be Doing

This role is designed to be flexible and adapt to what may be required any specific day! Prior notification will be given whenever possible if changes are occurring. A Lead would be coordinating and perform when required;

  • Daily receiving, picking, shipping functions
  • Other tasks as assigned may include delivery appointment scheduling and pick wave assigning, attending meetings, various project support, and coordination as it pertains to the team's, RFC Calgary overall operations
  • Every single day begins with checking emails and acquiring the days tasks, performing the required safety checks and attending our daily morning meeting. Working with an immediate team of approximately 16 people, other teams throughout the warehouse and external vendors
  • Ongoing, communication is a crucial part of our operations, verbally, documentation, data collection
  • Working both alone and collaborating with others to meet our daily targets and continuously improve our operations
  • Team leads, Supervisor’s and manager are available for support daily where required. Safe operational environment is Shaw’s number one concern, all employees are empowered to and have the expectation to maintain a clean and safe environment, achieved through daily safety observations and cleaning practices

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 3-year warehouse and logistics experience
  • 3 or more years of customer service-related experience
  • Previous experience in leading employees, direct reports
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (telephone/face to face)
  • Able to optimally work individually or in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple responsibilities in detail
  • Proficient in Window based software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient in WMS and Oracle ERP systems
  • Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
  • Ability to multitask with phenomenal attention to detail
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and collaborative demeanor
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Significant walking
  • Forklift Certification
  • A valid driver’s license
