Junior Designer at Thinkingbox

City: Toronto, ON
Contract type: Full time
Who We Are

Hi! We’re AntiSocial, a social-first digital marketing agency powered by people who love to create. Our work spans industries and disciplines, from conceptual campaigns and strategic media plans to creator partnerships, influencer strategies, and content production for leading brands around the world. As part of the Thinkingbox family, we bring creativity, collaboration, and innovation to everything we do.

At AntiSocial, you’ll join a diverse and talented team that delivers bold campaigns and innovative solutions for some of the world’s top brands. Our culture is one of collaboration, creativity, and connection. Whether it’s brainstorming with colleagues, hanging out with our office dogs, or enjoying weekly events, we keep our work environment vibrant, inclusive, and fun.

The Opportunity

AntiSocial is looking for a Junior Designer who lives online and thinks in concepts, not just comps. You’re a collaborative creative with agency experience and a portfolio that already shows sparks of big thinking—someone who lives for design, ideation, and building visual worlds that break clients’ brains (and, ideally, the internet).

You’re a culture vulture and social-first thinker: fluent across platforms, obsessed with how design shows up in feeds, and always clocking what’s trending, what’s tired, and what’s next. You’ll collaborate with producers, accounts, influencers, and strategy teams to bring scroll-stopping, best-in-class creative to life for brands that want to live in culture, not just advertise in it.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Turn strategy into social-first ideas
  • Collaborate with Copywriters, Designers, Producers, Strategists, and Accounts to translate briefs into sharp, culture-led concepts that ladder up to client goals
  • Build out visual systems for every platform
  • Evolve concepts into full suites of assets for multiple mediums and social platforms, using contemporary, feed-ready design solutions
  • Design for the feed, not just the deck
  • Create visuals that feel native to each platform—from static posts and carousels to stories, reels, and creator content—always thinking about how work will be seen, shared, and saved
  • Share, refine, and iterate
  • Explain your ideas internally, gather feedback from Associate Creative Directors, Strategy, and Accounts, and refine quickly in response
  • Support client presentations
  • Participate in presenting concepts to clients in a clear, compelling, and visually driven way
  • Protect and elevate the brand
  • Keep everything on-brand and cohesive while still pushing for fresh, unexpected expressions that feel at home in culture
  • Stay plugged into culture and the category
  • Join briefings, team meetings, and client presentations, and dive into research as needed to keep the work relevant, timely, and insight-driven

What You’ll Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Design or a related field
  • 1–2 years of design experience in an agency or in-house setting, working on real brands
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with strong digital craft and an eye for detail
  • Fluency across major social platforms and how design needs to adapt for each
  • A genuine passion for creative concepts and design—not just how things look, but what they mean
  • Experience designing branded content for social campaigns (feeds, stories, reels, carousels, etc.)
  • An eagerness to collaborate with Copywriters, Art Directors, Strategists, Producers, and Accounts
  • Strong attention to detail, from pixel-perfect exports to cohesive visual systems
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, design tools, and visual trends across internet culture
  • A true ad and marketing enthusiast who pays attention to great campaigns and why they work
  • A willingness to take smart risks, push your ideas, and be bold in the work
  • Motivation to create purpose-driven design and advertising that actually impacts people and culture
