As a Surveillance Security Guard, you’ll be the one identifying risks and maintaining secure operations across environments such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, gatehouses, and controlled entry points.

Responsibilities For Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Complete iLobby sign-ins/outs and confirm approved site contacts
• Perform bag checks, metal-detector wanding, and footwear inspections
• Enforce electronics restrictions and property-removal procedures
• Issue BOLs and assist with broker and transport-vehicle processing
  
  

Qualifications For Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid BC security license
• First aid certification - an asset
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
• Reliable transportation to/from site
