We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Under the direction of the Area Director or Operations Manager, the HR Generalist will play a vital role in supporting the local branch and ensuring smooth operations of various HR functions.
Salary range: $62,000 - $77,000
Duties Include
Recruitment and selection of various employees
Participation with orientation session arrangements and delivery;
Process Workers Compensation claims as needed including: documentation, filing reports, and follow-up activities related to modified work programs as requested.
Participate in or lead the local Health and Safety Program
As requested, assist managers with progressive discipline and counseling of employees while following related company policies
Maintain current and past employee human resources files such that all required documentation, including proof of current professional registration, probationary and annual performance reviews, supervisory reports and continuing education documentation are included.
Maintain current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labor laws;
Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
Other HR related tasks/duties as requested by the manager or Business Lead

- Post Secondary degree or diploma in human resources or industrial relations.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive human resources experience in a fast-paced environment.
- CHRP/CHRL designation considered a strong asset.
- High degree of flexibility and ability to multi-task in a busy environment with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership and collaboration experience.
- Excellent communication skills with Fluency in written and spoken English (requirement).
- Experience with MS Office Suite, data management skills and strong experience working with spreadsheets and databases.
- Experience handling issues with sensitivity, confidentiality and balance.
- Strong knowledge of human rights, employment equity, inclusivity, and accessibility with and ability to understand and effectively communicate these principals.
