Position Summary
The Environmental Class 3A Driver will be relied upon to visit various client sites to collect and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. As a professional driver with a safe driving record, you will utilize TDG knowledge and experience to assist with labeling containers and preparing transport documentation.

The Environmental Class 3A Driver will be relied upon to visit various client sites to collect and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. As a professional driver with a safe driving record, you will utilize TDG knowledge and experience to assist with labeling containers and preparing transport documentation.
Key Accountabilities
- Safely operate all required transport equipment.
- Professionally represent GFL on all client sites and look for ways to expand services.
- Ensure all assigned equipment is properly loaded and maintained.
- Keep accurate drivers’ logs as required to document mileage, hours and material hauled.
- Communicate effectively with a team of qualified professionals.
- Participate in safety meetings, last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments.
- Identify and classify all types of hazardous waste.
- Handle drum dollies and pallet jacks for the transportation and loading of materials.
- Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brakes and a clean Commercial Driving Abstract is a requirement; Class 1 Driver’s License would be an asset.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
- TDG knowledge and experience is an asset.
- Experience using phone apps, i.e. electronic log book.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.
- Ability to work safely and independently.
- High level of personal integrity.
- Strong work ethic.
- Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
- Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs. required.
