Environmental Class 3A Driver at GFL Environmental Inc.

Position Summary

The Environmental Class 3A Driver will be relied upon to visit various client sites to collect and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials. As a professional driver with a safe driving record, you will utilize TDG knowledge and experience to assist with labeling containers and preparing transport documentation.

Key Accountabilities

• Safely operate all required transport equipment.
• Professionally represent GFL on all client sites and look for ways to expand services.
• Ensure all assigned equipment is properly loaded and maintained.
• Keep accurate drivers’ logs as required to document mileage, hours and material hauled.
• Communicate effectively with a team of qualified professionals.
• Participate in safety meetings, last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments.
• Identify and classify all types of hazardous waste.
• Handle drum dollies and pallet jacks for the transportation and loading of materials.
  
  

Requirements

• Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brakes and a clean Commercial Driving Abstract is a requirement; Class 1 Driver’s License would be an asset.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
• TDG knowledge and experience is an asset.
• Experience using phone apps, i.e. electronic log book.
