Our Langley, BC Branch has an exciting opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative to join our team!

What You Will Do:

Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling trailers and equipment within a defined territory, including direct customer calls to develop relationships with new and existing customers. You will work with your Branch Team Members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:

  • Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
  • Travel to customer locations within assigned territory
  • Engage with current and new customer orders
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Forecast and develop potential sales plans for all customers
  • Provide reporting on accounts outlining customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Review new product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends as they are released
  • Participate in training programs that vendor, sales other professional development areas.
  • Conduct industry related presentations
  • May deliver parts to customer locations
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Require:

  • Up to 5 years of experience in heavy duty parts sales or similar industry (Agriculture, Equipment, Trailers) preferred
  • Valid driver's license with 5 years of driving experience required
  • Driver’s abstract with no major infractions in the last 5 years required
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements : Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, travel to customer locations on roadways and highways for long periods of time, frequent sitting, standing and walking at customer locations
  • Excellent customer service skills - Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of external and internal customers
  • Strong communication skills – Confident in delivering clear and detailed information to customers and team members
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and technology – Able to learn in-house systems
  • Proficiency with multiple languages is an asset
