The Division invites applications for the position of Director of Educational Services. The successful candidate, a servant leader and student-focused individual, will find this an exciting opportunity. Duties will commence in January, 2026 at a mutually agreed upon date.

The Opportunity:
The Director of Educational Services is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic
direction and operational oversight for key instructional portfolios across the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division. Reporting directly to the Associate Superintendent of Learning, and working collaboratively as a key member of the Senior Administrative Learning Team, this role ensures all programs align with the Division's Catholic mission, provincial curriculum standards, and the mandate to achieve high levels of student success and faith development. The Director fosters a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and educational equity.
The successful candidate will meet provincial requirements including completion of a Master's degree, eligibility for Alberta teaching certification and completion of the Leadership Quality Standard Certification. The Division seeks a decisive, visionary leader committed to a collaborative approach of decision-making and who has a proven ability to inspire trust and confidence in his/her leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
The Director is responsible for the leadership, development, and supervision of the following core portfolios:
- Assessment and Data: Oversees the development, implementation, and analysis of division-wide assessment strategies to inform instruction and meet provincial requirements;
- Curriculum Implementation: Leads the strategic planning and execution of new and revised provincial curriculum across all grade levels and subject areas;
- Faith Permeation: Ensures the seamless integration and deepening of Catholic values and teachings across all curricula and instructional practices within the Division;
- Supporting Instructional Leadership of Administration: Collaborates with the Senior Administrative Learning Team to enhance instructional leadership capacity among Principals and Associate Principals.
- Provide visionary leadership to promote high-quality teaching and learning in every school;
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively and transparently;
- Work alongside the Senior Administrative Learning Team to align learning support, professional development, and strategic initiatives;
- Collaborate with Principals and Associate Principals to ensure consistent and effective program delivery;
- Stay current on educational research, best practices, and technological advancements related to assigned portfolios;
- Support the Superintendent in developing and executing the Division's Three-Year Education Plan (3YEP).
