Data Domain Architect at Affinity
On behalf of our Healthcare Client sector, Affinity is seeking a Data Domain Architect to join the Enterprise Architecture Team. The Data Domain Architect will lead and consult within eHealth’s information and data domain and provide expert advice and guidance in developing strategic directions for architecture, roadmaps, standards, and best practices. This role will also develop and communicate architectural viewpoints, models, and designs. The Data Domain Architect will build and cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand the needs of eHealth’s environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage roadmaps for data architecture transformation.
- Evaluate existing data architectures and make suggestions for improvements.
- Define the architecture standards and reference architectures for properly using Information and data.
- Drive the adoption of modern data technologies and practices, including data modelling, data integration, and data warehousing to enhance data accessibility, quality, and governance.
- Recommend new technologies to improve the effectiveness of data management.
- Work closely with the data management and IT teams to ensure delivery of all requirements.
- Source and document data requirements, determine the current state of data architecture, develop a target state for data architecture, and perform gap analysis to develop a data roadmap to resolve gaps.
- Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and use emerging technologies in data systems that meet feasibility and performance.
- Define and document architecture and technology standards, reference and solution architectures, constraints, and guidelines.
Qualifications:
The proposed Resource must:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of five (5) years experience in data architecture with a proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise data platforms.
Have at least one of the following certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals; or
- The Open Group Architecture Framework 9 (TOGAF 9) certification
The proposed Resource should have the following qualifications and have experience fulfilling the following job requirements:
- Experience in Azure Cloud services, particularly those related to data storage, processing, and analytics (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DataBricks, Azure Synapse Analytics).
- Experience developing multi-year technology and service roadmaps and strategies and advise stakeholders on alternatives and solutions.
- Demonstrate Familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate experience with big data technologies in a healthcare context.
- Demonstrate understanding of advanced analytics, machine learning, and their applications.
