Chinook School Division is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students in the Functional Integrated program at Swift Current Comprehensive High School. This position will be subject to additional contracted hours due to the nature of the positions and based on individual needs of students. Training will be provided for any specific duties that are required.
Start Date: December 22nd, 2025
Qualifications:
- Educational Assistant certification or early childhood training an asset
- Ability and experience in working with children
- Physical ability to work with active students
- Lifting may be required
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment
- A positive and flexible attitude to change
- Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Willingness to meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required
- Work one on one with students and within a classroom setting
- Based on needs of individual students, provide individual students with assistance in speech, motor, and language development and social and life skills Work as part of a team in development and implementation of Individual Improvement Plan
