    Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dynamic, creative, detail-oriented, friendly and energetic Human Resources Coordinator to join the Human Resources team. The Human Resources Coordinator will assist with greeting all visitors, employees and applicants while maintaining the day-to-day administrative function of a highly active Human Resources office.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME IN THIS ROLE

Responsibilities will include but not limited to maintenance and update of HRIS, incoming calls, walk in inquiries, special projects, coordination and planning of employee relations events, maintenance of the office environment including administrative responsibilities, coordination of employee benefits, updating and maintaining all employee communications (bulletin boards, posters, newsletter). Additionally, this person will support and assist with onboarding and recruitment- preparing orientation packages, welcoming of new hires, reference checks, maintaining employee files and providing support for the employment process. This person will also provide support and assistance with Health and Safety (Form 7 input, sick claims).

Salary range: 60,000 - 65,000

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Human Resources experience is preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of office administration experience, preferably within hospitality.

  • Previous hotel experience is an asset and experience in a unionized environment is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English. Knowledge of a second language is an asset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems. HRIS experience is preferred.

  • Strong desire to support and assist others in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and stay organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to solve problems, exercise sound judgment, and make well-reasoned decisions.

  • Ability to maintain a professional, positive, and discreet demeanor, especially when handling sensitive and confidential matters.

  • Energetic, friendly, and a strong team player with a genuine passion for helping others.

  • Creative self-starter who enjoys organizing and executing employee relations and hotel events.

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
