INVISTA Canada's nylon manufacturing site located in Kingston Ontario has 1 immediate opening in our Laboratory Team for experienced Lab Technicians. Come build your career with us! As a Lab Technician, you will join our collaborative shift teams, working within both the Analytical and Physical Testing Labs. You will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability in our testing and reporting processes. This position is on a 12-hour rotating (36/hrs. - 48/hrs.) continental shift.

As part of our team, you will contribute to a dynamic environment where innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement are at the core of what we do.
What You Will Do
- Perform high-precision measurements and tests on products using specialized instruments.
- Ensure all test methods and procedures adhere to accuracy and standards through the application of Measurement System Analysis (MSA), statistical process control, and routine calibrations.
- Improve productivity through partnership with operating teams and applying LEAN concepts such as 5S and Pull Systems, etc.
- Continuously improve right the first-time production through detection and elimination of off-aim results at the root.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with testing instruments to ensure on-time delivery of results.
- Lead projects and programs to transform our Laboratory including new instruments and equipment to improve productivity and quality.
- Possess a post-secondary degree in a scientific discipline.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical methods, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Over two years of experience in a laboratory testing environment, demonstrating proficiency in testing protocols and standards.
- Proven problem-solving skills utilizing a disciplined methodology.
- Familiarity with industry standards including ISO 17025 and ASTM
- Leadership experience including supervision or projects
