In keeping with the mission, vision and values of Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, the Hospital Coordinator is a leader responsible for Hospital operations and management of all departments in the absence of Management and Administrative teams. They provide an environment that supports inter-professional practice and evidence-based practice within a patient-centered care philosophy. They communicate with patients, families, internal and external resources to facilitate patient-centered care across the continuum of health.

Start Date: In line with next Hospital Orientation intake
Hours of Work: 12-hour days on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays Please be reminded that as a Hospital, in order to provide the necessary patient care, our operations run 24/7. Therefore, depending on the program for which you are applying, it may be an expectation that you are available to work weekdays and weekends, as well as all shifts - days, evenings, and nights. [Part-Time] Regularly scheduled for up to 24 hours per week (48/pay).
Wage: $52.72 - $62.61 per hour

Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with governing clinical college
- Previous clinical experience of 3-5 years
- Recent experience working in a Hospital setting; either in a clinical or managerial role
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in management or supervisory role
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, patients, families, physicians, interdisciplinary team members and personnel from other hospital departments
- Demonstrated focus on patient and staff safety through quality management
- Demonstrated effective conflict resolution skills
- Must strive to continuously provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, physicians, and volunteers
- Must adhere to the duties of workers, as stipulated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Must have an ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) in the English language in order to provide excellent communication with team members, patients and families.
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be dedicated to professional growth & development
- Must be able to perform all bona fide and essential duties of the position, which may include physical demands such as moving/transferring patients, pushing, pulling, bending, etc.
- Must have demonstrated excellent attendance/performance record
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with other members of the health care team
- Registered Nurse with applicable qualifications preferred
- Management/Leadership courses/certification preferred
- University Degree in related clinical field preferred
- Ability to communicate in additional language(s) is considered an asset.
- Scheduling experience an asset
