The Junior Product Designer is responsible to Work to the timelines of manufacturing to ensure products are delivered to clients on time. The Junior Product Designer will regularly work directly with Supply Chain, Sales, Drafting, Team Leaders, and Project Managers. The primary responsibilities includes:
- Work to the timelines of manufacturing to ensure products are delivered to clients on time
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of manufacturing detail drawings and bill of materials for products from engineering designs.
- Locate existing product designs that fit engineering or client requirements.
- Create new products from engineering or client requirements.
- Transformer/Rectifier design and development.
- Corrosion probe and reference electrode design
- Coordination of design reviews and creation of QA/QC documentation for products.
- Product design, including bill of materials, schematics, work instructions, and drawings
- Product design technical reviews.
- Product improvement based on feedback from end users and Technical Engineering.
- Creation of QA/QC documentation for products.
- Perform general duties and assist with production as specified by the Product Engineering and Production Team Lead
- University graduates from an accredited engineering program
- Eligibility for Professional Engineering
- Preference given to individuals with previous relevant experience, NACE certification and exposure to applicable codes (CSA, IEEE, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and computer skills are required
- Understand and rigorously follow all approved procedures and processes. These include but are not limited to the Design Review Process (ENG-PRO-14), Drafting Process (MFG-PRO-14), Document Control (QAP 110, QAP 111), Manufacturing Work Order Processing Procedure (MFG-PRO-19) and any customer supplied documentation, etc.
- Experience with drafting programs and electrical modeling programs, such as AutoCAD, Inventor and LTSpice.
- Candidates must have strong communication skills
