Location: Greater Hamilton and Burlington Region

Position: Community-Based Care

Pay: $37.55 hourly

Schedule: Depends on program

Overnight: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Weekdays/Weekends: 4 to 12-hour shifts

No On-Call Required

What You’ll Do

As a Shift Registered Nurse, you’ll play a hands-on role in the community, visiting clients in schools and homes to deliver personalized, high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing clinical care tailored to each client’s needs, including:
• Pediatric care (school & home)
• Palliative care
• Wound care
• IV therapy
• Chronic disease management and health teaching
• Supporting clients with tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs (experience is an asset)
• Managing diabetes care (experience is an asset)
• Prioritizing care time over travel time with efficient scheduling

Qualifications

Education & Certification

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN)
• Current registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body
• Additional certifications (e.g., CNA, LEAP, deSouza) are assets
  
  

Experience

• 1–2 years of recent experience, preferably in a community setting
• Experience with pediatrics, diabetes management, g tubes, and trach/vent care is an asset
  
  

Other Requirements

• Valid G2 or G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel within the Greater Hamilton/Burlington area in all weather conditions
