Our Public Sector client is seeking an Intermediate Procurement Specialist to support Director Combat Support Equipment Management (DCSEM). This role plays a strategic part in enabling effective material management across the organization. Our Public Sector client is seeking an Intermediate Procurement Specialist to support Director Combat Support Equipment Management (DCSEM). This role plays a strategic part in enabling effective material management across the organization. It is an opportunity to step into a high-impact environment where you will streamline supply workflows, maintain critical procurement documentation, and collaborate closely with internal units, bases, and external partners.
You will act as a key conduit between operational teams, procurement authorities, and logistics stakeholders, ensuring the efficient management, movement, and distribution of materiel across the enterprise. This role aligns with a broader mandate to enhance visibility, accuracy, and readiness within the supply chain.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in the development of procurement planning
- Hasten vendors for deliveries
- Liaise and respond to inquiries from clients, units, bases, and stakeholders including PSPC, Director Quality Assurance (DQA), and companies
- Perform logistics and supply management support including Storage Transfer Orders, monitoring of inventory levels, and approving the release of stocked items
- Manage related supply documents within DRMIS and RDIMS
- Perform material management activities including inventory management, ordering and movement of material, and supply services as directed by the Supply Administration Manual (SAM) A-LM-107-100/AG-001 using DRMIS where applicable
- Prepare supply requisition documents (DRMIS transaction ME5A) for procurement matters requiring approval by the Technical Authority and Procurement Officer
- Plan and implement material provisioning and distribution between main DND depots
- Monitor usage of materiel and adjust disposition by reviewing demands using DRMIS transactions ME55 (Collective Release of Purchase Requisition) and ME28 (Release Purchase Order)
- Establish Dues in the Materiel Management System to enable timely receipt at depots or designated locations
- Review and, upon approval, action priority demands for customers across the CAF
- Process stock movements within bases and depots for all CAF locations
- Verify establishment levels for bases and units prior to supply movement or allocation
The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of supply chain, procurement, and materiel management within complex environments. The role requires both technical fluency and a proactive approach to coordinating multiple moving pieces.
Education and Training
The successful candidates will have the following:
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field such as procurement, logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline
- (Training or familiarity with Government of Canada procurement frameworks is considered beneficial)
- Minimum 24 months within the last 48 months in material management of goods
- Minimum 24 months within the last 48 months using an Enterprise Resource Management system (e.g., SAP, DRMIS) to analyze and recommend distribution and/or replenishment of inventory
- Minimum of forty-eight (48) months of combined experience in the last ninety-six (96) months providing logistical supply support to multiple clients and customers, by performing the following tasks:
- Maintaining electronic and physical records of stock keeping or inventory levels, customer orders, etc
- Preparing usage reports and movement history, and performing electronic audits of material, etc.
- Minimum of sixty (60) months of combined experience, within the one hundred and eighty (180) months in four (4) of the following six (6) material management activities:
- Stock Transfers
- Material requirement planning
- Inventory management
- Preparing inventory reports
- Maintaining stock level
- Monitoring annual historical stock usage trends
- More than sixty (60) months of combined experience, within the last one hundred and eighty (180) months, in four (4) of the following six (6) material management activities:

- More than forty-eight (48) months of demonstrated experience, within the last ninety-six (96) months, using SAP to perform the following material management transactions.
- ME55: "Collective release of Purchase Requisition"
- ME28: "Release purchase order"
- MMBE: “Review of stock levels”
- ZEPM_ODR: “Execute Outstanding Demands report”
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- Valid security clearance at a level of Secret Level II
- Controlled Goods registration is mandatory.
- Duration: Three-year contract, starting at award date.
- Location: National Capital Region.
- Work Environment: Onsite presence required, with potential hybrid flexibility depending on operational needs.
