About Our Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated youth educator to deliver Violence Is Preventable programming to secondary students across the Vancouver School Board District and in the community. The VIP Facilitator draws from an established curriculum designed to enable group participants to identify and respond to gender-based violence in dating and familial relationships. The Facilitator also builds working relationships with identified partners within the BCSTH (BC Society for Transition Houses) network. The VIP facilitator serves the program’s goals around supporting survivors from a feminist, anti-oppressive, and person-centered lens
This position will end June 30, 2026

- Undergraduate degree in social sciences
- Significant experience with delivering psychoeducational workshops or providing group facilitation to youth
- Demonstrated experience using a trauma-informed practice lens in the area of gender-based violence
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Group facilitation skills oriented to the specific needs of diverse youth populations
- Advanced knowledge of the dynamics of gender-based violence, particularly childhood sexual/physical abuse, intimate partner violence, and sexual assault
- Thorough knowledge of community resources and related programs
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
