Peterborough Golf & Country Club (PGCC) — established in 1897 and proudly one of Canada’s oldest continuously operating private clubs — is seeking a Director of Golf to lead our Golf Operations and deliver an exceptional member experience.

PGCC features a Stanley Thompson-influenced 18-hole championship course, an active curling program, and a vibrant social calendar. The Club continues to grow, balancing its historic roots with a progressive, member-focused approach.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager/COO, the Director of Golf will be a visible and dynamic leader responsible for all aspects of golf operations — including retail management, tournaments, instruction, and staff development. This role is ideal for a motivated PGA of Canada Professional who thrives on service excellence, team leadership, and member engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire the Golf Operations team.
• Oversee daily golf operations, tee sheet management, and member events.
• Deliver exceptional retail and merchandising programs.
• Develop instructional programs for all levels of golfers.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional member experience.

Qualifications

• Class “A” Professional, PGA of Canada (in good standing).
• 5+ years of progressive golf operations leadership experience.
• Strong organizational, business, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in private or semi-private club environments preferred.
• Proficiency with Jonas or similar club management software is an asset.
