Job Title: Cybersecurity Principal

So, what will I do?

• Partner with CISOs, CIOs, and business leaders to design and implement cybersecurity strategies and governance frameworks aligned with organizational goals.
• Contribute to business development efforts by crafting proposals, designing solutions, and serving as the subject matter expert in cybersecurity strategy and governance.
• Drive sales growth in Canada by developing pipeline, and identifying new business opportunities in cybersecurity services.
• Lead delivery of cybersecurity projects, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with client expectations.
• Evaluate current-state governance, risk management, and compliance capabilities, including policies, processes, and maturity levels.
• Conduct program assessments and create customized, risk-based roadmaps to enhance the maturity of cyber programs.
• Develop and implement governance frameworks for risk management, compliance, and resilience across various technology environments.
• Define and enhance risk assessment, audit, and compliance programs to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Leverage broad experience across multiple cyber domains (e.g., cyber risk, vulnerability management, IAM, security architecture) to provide the most effective recommendations.
• Mentor and guide consulting teams to deliver high-quality work, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Contribute to internal practice development, accelerators, and thought leadership in Cyber Strategy & GRC.
  
  

And, what will I bring?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, governance, risk management, or technology consulting, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
• Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CRI, HIPAA, or SOX.
• Deep expertise across multiple areas: governance frameworks, risk management, compliance, audit, and resilience.
• Demonstrated ability to support and lead business development efforts, develop proposals, and design solutions for client challenges.
• Experience working in or consulting for large, complex organizations.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with a history of creating executive-ready deliverables.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or CISA.
• Experience embedding governance and risk management in cloud-native, agile, and DevOps environments.
• Prior experience mentoring and growing high-performing governance consulting teams.
