WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Video & Social Content Coordinator who will support the development and execution of Mustang Survival’s social media and content initiatives. You will contribute directly to content creation, publishing, and community engagement while producing compelling photo and video assets tailored for digital platforms. This role blends creativity and technical skill to bring the brand’s story to life across social channels and ensure consistent, high-quality visual storytelling. This role is a 13-month maternity leave coverage position with the potential to transition into a full-time permanent role. It is based in Burnaby, BC, and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
WHAT WE OFFER
We estimate the salary range for this position to be between $50,000 and $60,000 annually. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. STRUCTURE
The Video & Social Content Coordinator reports to the Social Media Manager, and works closely with Creative Production Lead, and the entire Marketing & Ecommerce team.
RESPONSIBILITY
Content Production (Photo / Video / Postproduction)
- Execution: Participate in content shoots, contributing hands-on to videography, photography, lighting, audio capture, and editing for social-first deliverables.
- Postproduction: Support the importing, organizing, color grading, editing, captioning, and formatting of assets for different channels (organic and paid).
- Content Development: Produce social media assets, product demos, short explainer videos, digital ads, and internal training clips across key business segments: Recreational, Industrial, Public Safety, and Military.
- Internal Communications: Assist in producing P&C onboarding and internal communications videos as assigned.
Social Media Execution
- Content Creation & Scheduling: Assist in the development and execution of daily and campaign-related social posts, ensuring alignment with the brand’s voice, tone, and content calendar.
- Visual Storytelling: Capture and edit photo and video content optimized for social platforms, working within established creative guidelines.
- Social Trends: Research and surface emerging trends, audio, and visual formats to help evolve Mustang Survival’s social media content.
- Performance Support: Assist in compiling and organizing social analytics and reporting, highlighting key learnings and engagement patterns.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all content reflects brand standards and supports larger marketing and product campaigns.
- Community Interaction: Monitor social channels, respond to comments and messages, and flag key conversations or issues for the Social Media Manager.
Asset & Metadata Management
- File Handling: Maintain organized and structured file naming and version control for all photo and video content.
- Metadata Management: Tag assets with SKU, colorway, season, rights, and expiration details to ensure traceability.
- Platform Organization: Support the maintenance of Salsify and SharePoint folders and ensure asset locations are current and properly documented.
- Rights Tracking: Assist in monitoring usage rights, model releases, and expirations, and help maintain the brand’s legacy content archive.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media Production, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in social media content creation, digital media production, or a similar creative role.
- Level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Davinci Resolve or similar software
- Hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, and basic audio recording equipment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn) and scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite).
- Understanding of digital storytelling, composition, and editing for different aspect ratios and platforms.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong aptitude for building relationship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great problem solver and self-starter.
- Ability to work within cross-functional work teams.
- Experience managing digital files, metadata, and permissions via tools like SharePoint or Salsify is an asset.
- Proficient with equipment and software tools including Microsoft Office 365 Suite, SharePoint, Project Management software (like Wrike), ERP software (like NetSuite), social media tools.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
