Transformation Deployment Lead at Affinity

Job Description:

This role will lead deployment planning and execution across testing, cutover/conversion, and business readiness work streams, while managing issues, risks, and vendors to ensure a smooth rollout. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial asset management, fund accounting, SimCorp Dimensions, and ideally BlackRock Aladdin, with a proven history of delivering large-scale project deployments. Experience joining projects midstream and identifying critical course corrections without disrupting progress is essential.

Responsibilities:


  • Testing: Oversees test execution, ensuring test plans, logistical arrangements, and resource plans are in place. Ensures effective defect management processes are in place, with defects are being captured and triaged in a timely basis, based upon appropriate priorities and escalations as required, particularly where vendors are required for defect resolution. Ensures that business acceptance criteria are met in order to deploy solution.
  • Business Readiness: Ensures that business is ready to deploy solution including workarounds as may be required to address lower prior defects. Participates in scoping and planning of Day 2 delivery. Ensures business acceptance criteria are met in order to deploy solution.
  • Cutover/Conversion: Oversees cutover/conversion rehearsals and execution, ensuring cutover plans, fallback plans, business continuity plans, logistical arrangements, and resource plans are in place. Ensures business acceptance criteria are met in order to deploy solution.
  • Hypercare/Warranty: Determines hypercare/warranty requirements and oversees development of plans and processes to support hypercare/warranty period.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, to build solutions, ensure alignment and quality.
  • Risk management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the project's success.

Requirements:

Must Have:

  • Proven track record of leading transformations, conversions for $100M+ programs
  • Experience rescuing projects midway without undue disruption
  • Must have in depth working knowledge of Simcorp Dimension (SCD)
  • Ability to problem solve, execute with discipline and rigor
  • Ability to think strategically, connect dots quickly, lead teams with strong risk-based decision-making skills
  • High attention to detail and comfort with complexity
  • Effective communication, both with executives and project teams.
  • Adept at change management and bringing people on the journey while maintaining execution excellence
  • Ability to problem solve, execute with discipline and rigor
