Senior Accountant at Elby Professional Recruitment

Our global client, in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a driven and self-directed Senior Accountant to join their finance team at their Cambridge location. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact, taking ownership of key accounting functions and contributing to future system migrations. This newly created position offers the chance to expand your expertise, provide crucial support to the site controller. You will be instrumental in managing day-to-day accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
• Manage all aspects of inventory accounting.
• Assist with percentage of completion (PoC) accounting as needed.
• Handle month end journal entries
• Financial reporting
• Functionally assist with the planned migration to SAP Hana in the coming years.
• Collaborate effectively with the site controller and accounting clerks.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience with inventory accounting (required).
• Experience with percentage of completion (PoC) accounting is a plus.
• CPA designation or someone working towards their CPA is Mandatory.
• Proven ability to work independently and be self-directed.
• Comfortable working in a small finance team environment and adapting to manual accounting processes.
