Electrical Project Manager at W3Global

The Electrical Project Manager is a self-motivated professional who wants to excel in the electrical industry. This is a full-time position based out of our Edmonton office. The primary objective of this role is to execute projects safely, quickly, and efficiently. Your input into the design and construction of these projects will be key to building a better electrical backbone for our customers and their buildings.

Primary Accountabilities

• Take ownership of the project from award of contract through project close-out, serving the customer, solving problems, and adding value along the way
• Ensure projects are completed safely, quickly, on schedule, and on budget
• Suggest and implement process & design improvements
• Create project plans & measure progress
• Point of Contact: Coordinate and communicate with customers
• Procure 'A' & 'B' Material
• Manage contracts for engineering and subcontractors
• Project invoicing, Earned Value/ Work in Progress reports, and Purchase Order reviews
• Shop drawing submittals
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior coordination, design, administrative, and installation staff
• Ensure work is completed safely & to high quality, in accordance with our Health & Safety, Quality Assurance/Quality Control process
  
  

Qualifications Required

• Journeyman or Master Electrician certification
• Strong background & technical expertise in commercial & light industrial
• 10+ years in electrical industry, with a mix of field and project management experience
• 5+ years in Project Management
• 5+ years in the field as foreman/forewoman
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and Bluebeam
