The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Analyst II, IT Business Apps to join our Information Technology (IT) team in either St. John’s or Sudbury or Toronto. This is a permanent, hybrid position, working Monday–Friday, with a strong focus on managing and optimizing application support and enhancement services across multiple business areas globally.
The Analyst II - IT Corporate plays a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our application portfolio. This position oversees the managed services provider responsible for day-to-day support and enhancements, driving accountability for service level agreements (SLAs) and fostering innovation in service delivery.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Lead service performance optimization by monitoring trends, implementing strategies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular service review meetings, ensuring alignment with KPIs and business objectives.
- Develop application enhancement roadmaps and approve proposals to meet quality, budget, and timeline standards.
- Manage vendor relationships, including software maintenance renewals, lifecycle planning, and cost-effectiveness.
- Act as the primary liaison with the managed service provider, ensuring strong communication and timely issue resolution.
- Oversee risk management, including incident handling, root cause analysis, and preventative measures.
- Ensure compliance with change and release management processes for smooth implementation.
- Communicate performance metrics and enhancement progress to IT and business stakeholders through reports and dashboards.
About You
Education:
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in application support or systems analysis roles.
- Strong background in vendor and service provider management.
- Experience with cloud-based applications (PaaS, SaaS) and foundational systems (databases, integrations, middleware).
Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Multilingual (Portuguese and/or French) is an asset.
