Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their in-office team in the GTA. If you have strong Canadian building design experience and enjoy collaborating on high-impact projects, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Prepare drawings, specs, load calculations, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with OBC, CEC, and industry standards
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical teams, and project managers
- Support construction-phase coordination (RFIs, shop drawings, site queries)
- 5-7 years of Canadian experience in building electrical design
- Strong knowledge of CEC, OBC, and design standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit (asset)
- Electrical Engineering degree (P.Eng. an asset but not required)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on design work on meaningful building projects
