ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As an integral member of the rennie Leasing Team, the Leasing Specialist is responsible for the successful leasing of a single multi-phase rental community. This role plays a critical part in leading and managing the on-site project leasing team, developing and executing strategies that provide an exceptional guest experience, maximize absorption, optimize revenue, and deliver on the developer’s project goals.
The Leasing Specialist ensures operational excellence, compliance, and consistency across all leasing activities, including the preparation, execution, and oversight of leasing contracts.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of the meaningful work underway at Sen̓áḵw, a project on Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) land and rooted in place, culture, and community. As an Ambassador of Sen̓áḵw, your role is to welcome guests to the community, share the history of the land, and represent the values of the Squamish Nation to all residents.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Performance and Strategy
- In collaboration with the Leasing Director, sets initial pricing and conducts on-going (daily, weekly, monthly) pricing assessments and adjustments in alignment with the Developers' revenue or absorption goals.
- Partners with rennie Marketing to create and implement a market-leading leasing strategy that aligns with the broader marketing plan and project positioning.
- Monitors and manages inventory to ensure alignment with the overall leasing strategy and developer objectives.
Team Leadership and Operations
- Oversees all presentation centre operations and day to day duties of the site team, ensuring professional standards, compliance, and readiness are maintained at all times.
- Works with rennie Sales Operations to staff the project, implement systems and processes on site including utilization of rennie platforms, standards and best practices.
- Leads extensive project and service training programs with the Leasing team consistent with rennie and cultural standards, with the goal of building a ‘best-in-market’ leasing team and tenant experience, including elevating the brand reputation with Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw values.
Contract Compliance and Administration
- Prepares, reviews, and executes leasing contracts on site in accordance with regulatory requirements and developer-approved terms.
- Oversees the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all leasing documentation prepared by the team, ensuring consistency with legal, operational, and brand standards.
- Implements and monitors contract-related processes and checklists to safeguard accuracy and ensure timely completion of all documentation.
Client and Stakeholder Coordination
- Establishes regular reporting and communication channels with the Leasing Director and developer, providing timely updates on performance metrics, pricing, and leasing progress.
- In partnership with rennie Marketing, leads all outgoing communication for the leasing team—including standardized scripts, emails, and marketing follow-ups—to deliver a high-touch and consistent experience.
- Builds and maintains strong internal and external relationships, fostering collaboration with marketing, operations, and developer partners while cultivating a robust tenant pipeline.
Market Intelligence and Continuous Improvement
- Acts as a market expert, maintaining up-to-date knowledge (product, pricing, promotion) of the Vancouver rental landscape through active research and competitive analysis.
- Leverages rennie Intel data and local insights to inform pricing, absorption strategies, and promotional recommendations.
- Continuously evaluates performance metrics, processes, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in leasing execution.
WHAT YOU BRING
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- An active Real Estate Trading Services License under the Real Estate Services Act of BC required
- Rental Property Management license an asset.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in leasing.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience leading or supporting sales teams in achieving defined performance targets.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating leasing centre activities, client interactions, or other high-touch sales environments requiring strong service and operational discipline.
- Ability to provide examples of successful leasing programs they led in Greater Vancouver market within the last 3 years.
- Experience working with First Nations is an asset.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Deep knowledge of the Vancouver real estate, rental and property management market, including leasing operations, pricing strategies, and tenant lifecycle management
- Demonstrated ability to uphold high standards of service, ensuring a consistent, professional, and engaging leasing experience.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate on-site teams to achieve leasing targets and project goals.
- Skilled in operational management, reporting, and leveraging market data to inform strategy and pricing.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Marketing, Sales Operations, and developers; communicates clearly with clients, tenants, and team members.
- Ability to translate market insights into actionable leasing strategies; adapts to evolving project and market demands.
- Models high standards of integrity, reliability, and excellence in all client and team interactions.
- Proficiency with leasing and CRM +TMS systems (e.g.: Salesforce)
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Primarily an onsite position at the leasing centre, with travel to the rennie home office
- Ability to travel as required
- Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular schedules during key project phases, launches, or client events
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods during on-site activities, tours, and events
- Occasional lifting, carrying, or setup of materials and equipment may be required
SALARY INFORMATION
The base salary for this specific position is $42,000 annually. In addition to the base salary, you will be eligible to earn deal fees. The estimated total earnings for strong performers is $110,000 annually, based on expected leasing absorption and project performance.
