This in-person position is based in Calgary at Health Link, and the Physiotherapist will be providing virtual rehabilitation services to individuals living in North Zone. Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Rehabilitation Advice Line and with the support of the Clinical Supervisor, the Physiotherapist will enable client engagement in their rehabilitation program. The Physiotherapist will be completing virtual assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients. Flexibility and creativity are assets when developing a new service. This position will include a program evaluation component. The RAL Physiotherapist establishes a therapeutic relationship with clients, demonstrating goal directed communication including effective listening, sensitivity, cultural awareness, and advocacy. They require clinical knowledge in a broad range of practice areas such as musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, neurological injuries and conditions, pediatric/adult/geriatric rehabilitation; prior experience in community care is required. They require technical skills including the ability to navigate Zoom and complete sessions virtually, comfort with dual monitors and multiple electronic platforms. Strong communication skills are essential as the remainder of the client’s care team (including therapy assistant) will be in Northern Alberta. This position is part of Primary Care Alberta. As the Physiotherapist I (PT), you will provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence in development, disease, disability, chronic conditions, illness and functional decline. You will provide intervention (i.e. prevention, triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, fostering resourcefulness, case management, referral and transition support to individuals, groups, populations and communities. You will include clients and families as integral members of the health care team, encouraging their active participation in all aspects of care. The PT collaborates with patient(s) and families in determining, implementing and evaluating appropriate rehabilitation strategies. You will participate in a variety of interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports and engage in quality improvement; partnering with healthcare providers, patients, families and other stakeholders to advance services for their clients. You will contribute to quality improvement and their professional community; participates in peer mentoring; and supervises students. You may provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants, Therapy Aides and Provisional Physiotherapists.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience providing frontline rehabilitation care in a variety of healthcare settings (e.g., acute, community, tertiary). A minimum of 1 year providing Adult Virtual rehabilitation. Ability to manage a wide variety of clinical situations with varying levels of acuity and a heterogeneous population. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with various professionals. Ability to work confidently, independently and within collaborative partnerships. Ability to thoroughly and accurately collect and document information in a timely manner. Excellent computer skills essential, including working knowledge of Zoom, Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn and utilize multiple electronic platforms concurrently. Prior community care experience (including assessment and treatment of ambulatory, outpatient physiotherapy). Previous experience managing a patient caseload, including managing patient scheduling and planning for appropriate follow up care.
Preferred Qualifications:
Connect Care trained. Previous experience collaborating with external allied health departments. Experience in program evaluation. AADL certification an asset.
