The Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC) is hiring two Lead Maintenance Engineers (one in the Electrical & Instrumentation discipline and one in the Mechanical discipline) on a permanent basis to work on-site in Regina, SK.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and support maintenance engineering tasks that vary both in type and complexity, including troubleshooting in-service equipment, developing Construction Work Packages (CWPs), and designing small-scale modifications and installations.
  • Provide technical guidance to tradespeople, planners, and coordinators, resolving equipment issues, obsolescence challenges, and supporting field and shop repairs.
  • Determine the most technically feasible and cost-effective short- or long-term solutions for equipment issues while considering risk, plant performance, downtime, and industry standards.
  • Manage maintenance engineering backlog and performance metrics, ensuring timely development of technical solutions to minimize downtime while adhering to equipment integrity standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Equipment Integrity, Reliability Engineering, and Purchasing to meet asset performance requirements and identify improvement opportunities
  • Mentor junior engineers, lead assigned initiatives, contribute to strategic planning, foster a safety-first culture, and drive departmental goals toward maintenance excellence.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in maintenance engineering and:

  • Have 10+ years of related engineering experience in a heavy industrial setting.
  • Have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in a related field and a P.Eng designation, ideally with APEGS (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • Are familiar with equipment codes and standards associated with refinery assets.
  • Have experience developing Construction Work Packages, working within CMMS systems, and executing Management of Change processes.
