The Intermediate Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) serves as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters for assigned customers and products. This role coordinates quality activities across the value stream to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support overall customer satisfaction.

Position Summary
The Intermediate Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) serves as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters for assigned customers and products. This role coordinates quality activities across the value stream to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support overall customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities
- Review purchase orders and customer contractual requirements to ensure full compliance.
- Develop Quality Assurance Plans that support the manufacture of customer-defined products.
- Review product definitions and shop orders for alignment with customer requirements and Quality Assurance Plans.
- Perform quality verification and authorize product release, including issuing Certificates of Compliance.
- Act as liaison with customer representatives on all quality-related matters.
- When delegated, perform quality verification and product release activities as the customer’s quality representative.
- Plan, action, compile, and audit the First Article Inspection (FAI); compile FAI reports and other documentation in support of product deliverables.
- Perform internal workstation and product audits to verify compliance and process effectiveness.
- Review and approve supplier purchase orders to verify compliance to product definition.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead corrective action initiatives and support continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in engineering change management activities.
- Support projects for new customer/contract, new product introduction (NPI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Education & Experience
- Successful completion of an Engineering degree or post-secondary Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma.
- Eligibility for membership in CTTAM or Association of Professional Engineers (APEGM).
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience and academic accreditation as listed above.
- Experience in composite manufacturing, electrical, electronics, welding, sheet metal manufacturing, machining components, heat treating and forming operations will be considered an asset.
- Prior experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control and Auditing.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance tools, concepts, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Quality Control inspection tools.
- Understanding the hierarchy and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of relevant customer regulatory requirements.
- CAD proficiency and CMM programming experience are considered asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
