Position Overview:
We are seeking two (2) Business Intelligence Analyst resources with a broad-based background in technical experience and deep expertise in data management principles, business intelligence tools, and data architectural methodologies. As a data-driven organization, we leverage advanced analytics and business intelligence to enhance decision-making and drive operational excellence. The Business Intelligence Analyst role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic objectives and digital transformation goals.This role involves designing and implementing technology solutions that enable the organization to achieve its digital transformation objectives. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation, creating and maintaining reporting and SQL scripts, and providing insights into evolving reporting needs and requirements.
Business Intelligence Analysts apply their expertise in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and other business intelligence reporting environments to deliver tailored content and effective presentations. They work closely with business units to guide them through the solutioning process and ensure that solutions meet organizational needs. Required skills encompass technical disciplines such as cloud expertise in Power BI Service, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks, as well as knowledge of Lakehouse architecture and Delta format. Strong logical and problem-solving skills are essential to address data-related challenges and derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
Analysts are engaged in enterprise design and development, overseeing reporting integration and visualization of data from legacy and on-premises systems to new solutions. Additionally, the role requires commitment to operational excellence, delivering customer-focused experiences, adherence to industry security standards, and compliance with applicable privacy and data protection regulations.
This will be for an initial 14 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating and Presenting Effectively: Ability to present complex information clearly and tailored to various audiences.
- Guiding Business Solutions: Collaborate with business units through the entire solutioning process, from concept to delivery.
- Designing and Implementing Technology Solutions: Develop solutions that support digital transformation goals.
- Applying Data Architectural Methodologies: Ensure integrity and efficiency of data systems.
- Identifying and Mitigating Technical Risks: Proactively identify risks and devise mitigation strategies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- SQL Expertise: Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation; create and maintain reporting and SQL scripts.
- Power BI and BI Tools: Extensive experience with Power BI and other BI environments, including Power Query and DAX.
- Cloud Expertise: Proficiency in Power BI Service, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks.
- Lakehouse Architecture and Delta Format: Knowledge of these frameworks for managing and analyzing large datasets.
- Insight into Reporting Needs: Ability to anticipate and adapt to changing reporting requirements.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to derive insights from complex datasets.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Logical and creative approaches to data-related challenges.
- Reporting Integration and Visualization: Oversee integration and visualization of data from legacy systems to modern solutions.
- Content and Data Management: Experience with content management, data governance, and related programs.
- Star Schema and Analytical Data Models: Knowledge of efficient data structuring techniques.
- Compliance and Security Standards: Familiarity with privacy regulations and industry security standards.
