Job Summary & Key Responsibilities Laboratory Demonstrator/Instructor (multiple positions available)
WORK ASSIGNMENT: PHYT 5215 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy II (MSK 2) [Winter, January 5th – April 24th, inclusive of Exam Period]
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The laboratory instructor will assist the course professor by teaching advanced musculoskeletal material to Year 1 MScPT students in the practical lab sessions. Lab content will be available electronically prior to the sessions, including practical clinical skills of the various physical assessments and treatment approaches. The lab instructor may also take place in case-base tutorials as a facilitator. Pre-lab and pre-tutorial meetings (30 minutes) will take place prior to each scheduled lab or tutorial and are a required for instructors to attend. They have been included in the times listed below.
Tutorial facilitators will be involved in helping to facilitate tutorial case-based learning, prompting students to work through assessment and treatment plans.
Numerous lab instructors will be required to cover the lab sessions on Monday and Wednesday afternoons, as well as tutorials.
You are not required to be available for all dates, however consistency among instructors for the dates will be a consideration for when selecting the candidates.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position Candidates must be licensed Physiotherapists and currently work in musculoskeletal practice. Experience of at least 2 years of musculoskeletal practice, previous teaching, and additional credentials is preferred
Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
Additional Information All offers of employment as a Part-Time Academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the course and approval by the University.
