ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT St. Paul School

This position is open to all internal and external candidates. Prior to employment, successful applicants must provide supporting documents as outlined on our page.

We are looking to hire a continuous 35.0 hour per week Administrative Assistant (10 month) at St. Paul School in Lethbridge. This assignment is to commence February 2, 2026. Having strong mathematical and/or accounting skills is considered an asset. This position is covered by the CUPE 1825 collective agreement. Please quote Posting #3997479.

Under the direction of the Principal, the Administrative Assistant provides support to school and division administration, staff and educational partners. Through a collaborative team-based structure, they will carry out day to day tasks as assigned to effectively and efficiently run the school office. Confidentiality is of utmost importance. This position does not have any direct reports or supervisory/managerial components.

EDUCATION:

  • Two-year diploma in business administration and accounting background is preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • One-year office experience within a school setting is preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of office equipment (photocopiers, phone systems, laminators, etc.);
  • Able to work in Google platform (Google Drive, Mail, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Slides, etc.);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Publisher, Word, Excel);
  • Website maintenance;
  • Student Information Systems (currently PowerSchool, Dossier, PASI);
  • Division/School financial platform (currently SchoolCash/KEV);
  • Leave management system (currently PowerSchool Atrieve ERP).

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Communication skills (both written and oral);
  • Telephone etiquette;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Time management;
  • Collaborative team member;
  • Willingness to take required training specific to job duties;
  • Able to work under deadlines;
