Job Description
As an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson, you will perform all aspects of electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repairs at the Pulp mill.

About The Team
Irving Pulp & Paper is a kraft pulp mill specializing in fibre for premium tissue products in global markets. With a staff of about 380 employees, the mill is the anchor of the New Brunswick Forest Products and Industry. With over $1.1 billion being invested on-site, we are investing in the next generation.
As an Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson, you will perform all aspects of electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repairs at the Pulp mill.
Responsibilities
- Perform the required troubleshooting, programming and research to maintain and improve existing distributed controls, programmable controls, mill process controls and electrical distribution systems
- Bench set valves, calibrate conductivity and PH probes
- Assist in continuous improvement through cross functional teams
- On call coverage and shift work may be required
- Industrial Controls Technology Diploma, or an Industrial Electrical Journeyman license, or an Instrumentation Journeyman License
- Industrial experience in a similar industry would be considered an asset
- Possess knowledge of Plant Instrumentation and Electrical systems, Emerson and Honeywell Distributed Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controls, Variable Speed Drives (stand alone and coordinated)
- Possess working knowledge of high voltage switchgear, transformers and system protection
- History using a (CMMS) computerized maintenance management system to record work order history
- Problem Solving ability
- Self-motivated and have a strong personal drive
- Team player with interpersonal skills
- Strong safety aptitude
- Electrical aptitude
