The Regional CI Engineer is responsible for driving lean transformation and continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing sites in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. In this role, you will play a direct role in developing our continuous improvement culture at the local level through lean leadership development, lean training, and change management. You will achieve these goals by facilitating VSMs, Kaizen events, and other improvement initiatives.

The Regional CI Engineer is responsible for driving lean transformation and continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing sites in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. In this role, you will play a direct role in developing our continuous improvement culture at the local level through lean leadership development, lean training, and change management. You will achieve these goals by facilitating VSMs, Kaizen events, and other improvement initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver lean leadership training to build local management capability in lean principles and methods.
- Provide structured lean methodology training (5S, Kaizen, TPM, SMED, etc.) for all levels of site personnel.
- Guide teams through change management processes to enable cultural and operational transformation.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Gemba walks to identify waste and drive process improvement.
- Support and coach cross-functional teams in identifying, prioritizing, and executing continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure standardization and sustainability of improvements by sharing best practices and lean tools across regional sites.
- Track, monitor, and report lean initiative results, ensuring transparency, accountability, and measurable impact.
- Build strong relationships with site leadership, production teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to foster engagement and alignment.
- Serve as a mentor and facilitator, providing on-site coaching and hands-on support to local lean champions.
- Coordinate a regional lean network, conduct site assessments, and explore the use of digital tools to enhance continuous improvement processes.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing lean practices, preferably in manufacturing environments.
- Proven success facilitating lean training, Kaizen workshops, and change management initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of lean tools and methodologies (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, TPM, etc.).
- Demonstrated coaching and facilitation abilities, with experience engaging diverse teams and leadership levels.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration within a multi-site or international organization is an asset.
- English, high proficiency.
- Spanish, proficiency preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally (approx. 130 days per year).
- Based within proximity to a major airport in Canada, the USA, or Mexico.
