The Medicine Hat Regional Hospital audiology department is proud to have achieved exceptionally high results in work satisfaction and safety. The team includes one full-time audiologist and one casual audiologist who can support and mentor you in this position. The team manager’s door is open and very available and supportive of our Audiology, Speech Language Pathology, and Children’s Allied Health teams. The audiology department was also recently renovated in the winter of 2025 and provides a modern and welcoming work environment.
We have a provincial Audiology director who supports Audiology practice at Alberta Health Services along with experienced Audiology colleagues with whom to collaborate and access for mentorship. There is training for audiologists as more than half our caseload is pediatrics.

Description:
As an Audiologist, you will be working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, where you will be responsible for the screening, identification, assessment and management of patients (clients) presenting with hearing and balance (vestibular) disorders. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will be important to you in supervising students and providing clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate. You will use your clinical expertise to inform program development and planning. You will interpret findings, provide counselling regarding hearing loss and balance dysfunction, and establish appropriate intervention plans to manage and reduce the functional impact of hearing loss. You will provide patients, their families and other professionals with information and recommendations; making referrals to other agencies and professionals as required.
