- Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and drafters in the preparation of deliverables to BBA and client standards
- Assist in the preparation of design deliverables under the supervision of the project engineers.
- Assist in calculations and studies
- Assist in site inspections, testing and commissioning at client sites
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
- Member in good standing with EGBC and registered as an EIT
- Minimum 1 year of experience in engineering
- Familiarity with reading and preparing electrical schematics of various types (single lines, three lines, and interconnection drawings)
- Knowledge of MS Office and other database applications
- Basic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installations
- Strong communication (verbal and written in English), interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- A valid driver’s license
- Able to travel to customer sites and other BBA offices within Canada, the USA, and international destinations for project short-term assignments, such as site meetings, field reviews, site assessments, tests, etc.
- The following experience will be valued but is not necessary:
- Knowledge of power systems (HV, MV, LV)
- Knowledge of electrical study software such as PSCAD, PSSE, CYME, PSSE, and EMTP-RV
- Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written, ability to draft technical documents in both languages
- Annual base salary between $68,100-$83,200
