Forklift Operation - 3 month contract Night Shift at Hood Packaging Corporation

Hood Packaging  is a manufacturer of quality packaging materials and is present across Canada as well as in the United States through its 23 production sites. 

We have grown through innovation and strategic acquisitions. Initially operating in the cotton trade, we have expanded our flexible packaging capabilities to include paper, plastic and woven substrates.

Our Montreal division specializes in the production and printing of plastic film with specifications that can serve the food company and all other industries looking for quality flexible packaging.

Job Description:

Under the responsibility of the Warehouse Supervisor, the incumbent of this position must ensure that equipment and parts in inventory are moved between production areas, the warehouse and trucks while respecting production schedules and priorities. He must compile and record all inventory movements.

Once in the company, several opportunities will be available based on seniority and successful completion of probationary periods and, of course, the person's interest in our various departments.

The forklift operator is called upon to, while respecting safety rules and quality and food safety policies:

• Schedule reading, inventory report, and work orders to determine materials required, availability, and order of priority orders


• With the help of your supervisor, ensure stock availability


• Researches the location of stocks and distributes them to the different production areas


• Accounts for and records inventories of different types of material received, stored, and distributed

Job openings are distributed by seniority. New employees start on a contenental night shift from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., (alternating between 36 and 48 hours per week).

The starting hourly rate $23.33 with an additional night premium of $1.35.
