Position Overview:
The Refurbishment Technician is responsible for preparing IT equipment for reuse or resale. This includes cleaning, grading, data wiping, and ensuring compliance with company standards and quality requirements.

Position Overview:
The Refurbishment Technician is responsible for preparing IT equipment for reuse or resale. This includes cleaning, grading, data wiping, and ensuring compliance with company standards and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Refurbishment & Preparation
- Perform cleaning and grading of IT equipment including PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, and peripherals.
- Execute data wiping and hardware validation using tools such as Blancco.
- Ensure all devices meet compliance and quality standards before release.
- Open and update service cases in internal systems (e.g., JDE, EMERGE).
- Record detailed case notes for all actions performed on each unit
- Follow company refurb and reuse workflows as outlined in the Process Playbook.
- Coordinate with external refurb centers when necessary.
- Completion of a Secondary school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in IT hardware refurbishment or related field
- Familiarity with data wiping tools and compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes
- Proficiency with internal system (JDE, Emerge) and Microsoft Office
- Standard company hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
