We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with strong expertise in C++ programming and PostgreSQL database design and optimization. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer with strong expertise in C++ programming and PostgreSQL database design and optimization. The ideal candidate will develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance applications and data solutions for mission-critical systems, while collaborating with vendors and ensuring rigorous deployment SOPs.
What you will be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using modern C++
- Implement efficient database schemas, queries, and stored procedures in PostgreSQL.
- Optimize application performance through profiling, memory management, and query tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with front-end applications.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers manage technical integrations, clarify requirements, track deliverables, and coordinate issue resolution and SLAs.
- Manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for deployments author and maintain runbooks, pre/post-deploy checklists, rollback plans, and CAB/change approvals.
- Conduct deployment readiness reviews and post-implementation reviews; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement of SOPs.
- 3+ years of professional experience in C++ development (C++11 or later).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, multithreading, and memory management.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, query optimization, PL/pgSQL).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and build tools (CMake, Make).
- Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and managing technical SLAs.
- Demonstrated ability to author and maintain deployment SOPs/runbooks and execute change processes.
- Experience with performance tuning for large-scale systems.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to service delivery management or ITIL processes is a plus.
- Experience with deployment orchestration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and change governance (CAB).
