Position Overview
Reporting to the Program Team Manager, Cardiac Diagnostics and Cardiac Clinics, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the General Duty Cardiology Technologist is responsible for:

Position Overview
Reporting to the Program Team Manager, Cardiac Diagnostics and Cardiac Clinics, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the General Duty Cardiology Technologist is responsible for:
- Performing electrocardiograms.
- Carrying out peer/trainee functional instruction.
- Performing graded exercise tests (GXT).
- Performing Holter hook-ups and analysis.
- And performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Recent experience as a certified Cardiology Technologist is preferred.
- Successful completion of the Cardiology Technician Certification Program from Red River College or other recognized educational institution required.
- Advanced CSCT certification or recognized equivalent required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Current certification of the Canadian Society of Cardiology technologists (CSCT) required.
- Knowledge of computer systems and proficiency in the use of common software including email and internet applications required.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels of personnel, both internally and externally and within an inter-professional team required.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt readily and respond with initiative to a changing environment required.
- Demonstrated planning, organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload required.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical analysis skills required.
