We are partnering with a well-established marine dealership in Nanaimo, BC to find an experienced Certified Marine Technician to join their growing Service Department. About The Role
Reporting to the Service Manager and General Manager, the Certified Marine Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of marine and power sports equipment. You will work closely with Service Advisors and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed efficiently, accurately, and to manufacturer standards.

About The Role
Reporting to the Service Manager and General Manager, the Certified Marine Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of marine and power sports equipment. You will work closely with Service Advisors and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed efficiently, accurately, and to manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnoses, service, and repair outboard motors, inboard engines, wake boats, boats, trailers, and other power equipment
- Perform warranty, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards
- Communicate clearly with Service Advisors, Managers, and customers when required
- Maintain accurate repair documentation
- Coordinate with Parts and Sales departments
- Maintain service yard, warehouse organization, and safety standards
- Maintain 95% or higher shop proficiency
- Contribute positively to company-wide success
- Certified Marine Mechanic with valid certification
- 4+ years of marine industry experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Yamaha training and wake boat experience are assets
- Experience with Lightspeed EVO is an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
