Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized support, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or hospice support. Candidates with experience in home care, caregiving, or healthcare environments are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring under supervision or as trained.
- Support meal preparation and feeding for clients with specific dietary needs or restrictions.
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for clients.
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury.
- Monitor and report on clients’ health status, behavior, and any changes in condition to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment for clients.
- Follow care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia or hospice care protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents or concerns.
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, medication administration, and caregiving best practices.
- Experience working with seniors, people with disabilities, or those requiring dementia or hospice support is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility tasks.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience when working with vulnerable populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; some roles may require evening or weekend availability depending on the setting.
