Sessional Instructor - Department of Applied Human Sciences - Faculty of Science - Winter 2026 at University of Prince Edward Island
The Department of Applied Human Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications to teach the following course in the winter 2026 semester.
This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
FN 1120: Food Systems and Planetary Health (M/W/F 12:30-1:20 PM)
This course will introduce students to the concept of food systems at the local, regional, and global levels. Students will examine and reflect on critical food system issues, including challenges with food production, processing, marketing, food consumption, and waste, with a focus on sustainable food systems and the planetary health eating pattern.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an MSc or PhD in a field related to the course content, or a BSc with a relevant professional designation and/or experience. Documented experience working as a clinical dietitian and current registration with the College of Dietitians of PEI will be an asset. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty members of the Academic unit.
