Wainwright Continuing Care is located in a rural setting where the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works within an interdisciplinary team environment, collaborating on the delivery of care to meet the needs of the patient/clients. The LPN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care of patients/clients and work in consultation with RN/RPN colleagues and others to meet the needs of more complex patients/clients. The LPN is responsible and accountable to the public for his/her practice, according to the Standards defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) Standards of Practice.

You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Transition Company: Assisted Living Alberta Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Long Term Care Primary Location: Wainwright Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.80 Posting End Date: 29-DEC-2025 Temporary Employee Class: Temporary Part Time Date Available: 08-JAN-2026 Temporary End Date: 30-JUN-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 16 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $27.58 Maximum Salary: $36.13 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Ability to work as a member of a team and to request and accept direction as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrates critical thinking skills, within scope of practice, including clinical judgment, problem solving skills, and strong decision-making ability. Previous experience is an asset. Connect Care training is an asset.
