Digital Marketing Specialist – Job Description
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for owning and optimizing the customer journey across digital channels, with a strong focus on lifecycle marketing, automation, and paid media performance. This role plays a critical part in driving customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and lifetime value through data-driven digital strategies.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys building, testing, and optimizing campaigns end-to-end—not just coordinating execution.

Digital Marketing Specialist – Job Description
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for owning and optimizing the customer journey across digital channels, with a strong focus on lifecycle marketing, automation, and paid media performance. This role plays a critical part in driving customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and lifetime value through data-driven digital strategies.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys building, testing, and optimizing campaigns end-to-end—not just coordinating execution.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Lifecycle & Marketing Automation
- Own and manage all email marketing initiatives, including campaign planning, content development, scheduling, and performance reporting.
- Design, build, and optimize end-to-end lifecycle programs, including lead nurturing, onboarding, retention, and win-back campaigns.
- Develop and maintain advanced segmentation strategies to deliver targeted messaging across email, SMS, and in-platform communications.
- Create and manage automated workflows and behavioral triggers that guide prospects and customers through each stage of the funnel.
- Analyze customer behavior and funnel performance to identify drop-off points and conversion opportunities.
- Continuously test and optimize campaigns using A/B and multivariate testing to improve engagement, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value.
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and META (Facebook/Instagram).
- Build acquisition and remarketing campaigns aligned to business objectives and customer lifecycle stages.
- Develop paid media creative and messaging strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, pacing, and performance to ensure strong ROI and cost efficiency.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide clear reporting, insights, and recommendations for ongoing optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between promotions, messaging, and customer experience.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, lifecycle marketing, or performance marketing.
- Strong experience with email marketing platforms and marketing automation tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar).
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and conversion tracking.
- Experience supporting multi-location or multi-brand businesses.
- Proven ability to build and optimize lifecycle journeys, automation workflows, and segmentation strategies.
- Experience managing paid media campaigns across Google Ads and META platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and owning results end-to-end.
- Experience with SMS marketing platforms.
- Exposure to CRO, landing page optimization, or CRM integrations.
- This is a hybrid role, with the option to report to our New Westminster or Woodbridge offices. The position includes a mix of remote and in-office work.
- Occasional travel may be required to support team events, conventions, and grand openings.
- Salary: $65,000–$70,000/year
