THE OPPORTUNITY
Kryton International, a highly respected and successful world innovator in concrete waterproofing and durability solutions, is seeking an additional member to their Research and Development (R&D) Technical Services Department. We are looking for a new high-performing TECHNICAL SERVICES ASSISTANT who will be responsible for laboratory testing, quality control, and product performance evaluations, with progressive involvement in technical service activities such as field support, application troubleshooting, and customer assistance. This position offers structured mentorship and training under the guidance of our senior Technical Services professionals. This role ensures knowledge transfer, supports day-to-day technical needs of the Company, and builds the foundation for long-term technical leadership.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Technical Services Assistant brings a strong interest in building a long-term technical career in concrete and construction materials, with prior experience in technical services or materials testing considered an asset. This individual demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high standard of quality and accuracy, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to learn, and openness to mentorship, they are adaptable, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic technical environment.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technical Services Assistant role is designed as both a critical support position for current projects and as a succession pathway to develop into a Technical Services Representative within the next 2-3 years. The role starts as a Technical Services Assistant, responsible for laboratory testing of concrete and related materials, supporting quality control, maintaining accurate records, assisting with raw material evaluations, maintaining lab equipment, and supporting internal teams, field trials, and product demonstrations. Within 2–3 years, the role develops into a Technical Services Technician, involving advanced expertise in concrete technology, increased involvement in problem-solving and product development, greater ownership of customer-facing technical support, and delivery of technical guidance, presentations, and training to internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS
- Education: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering, Chemistry or related field (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
- Experience: Experience in technical services or in concrete and construction materials testing is considered an asset. Strong interest in pursuing a long-term technical career in concrete and construction materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and openness to mentorship.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
